Adam Rainey
Recruiting and Onboarding Specialist
A native of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Adam found his way to the mountains of Asheville in 2020 after a personal and lengthy battle with substance abuse. The move proved meaningful as Adam has thrived in recovery. Prior to his arrival, Adam spent 13 years teaching and coaching at South Pointe High School before becoming an Athletic Director at York Preparatory Academy in his hometown.
He made his transition to the area at the height of COVID where he served as the on-site administrator for Essential Purpose Men’s Sober Living for over a year. During this time, he found his way into the realm of Human Resources serving as a Recruiter & Onboarding Specialist for Eliada Home for Children. An adolescent mental health nonprofit serving youth and their families with various programming.
His strengths in cultivating relationships, systems processing, and multi department agency advocation yielded positive recruitment and retention results for Eliada. These same strengths he brings our team at Red Oak.
In his spare time, Adam can be found enjoying our local sports teams, tubing with friends, swimming, shooting pool, catching a 12 Step meeting, travelling, or getting much needed “uncle time” with his niece, Parker.
He and his partner live in West Asheville with their two schnauzers, Winston and Bailey.
Adam looks forward to building relationships with clients, families, and colleagues through Red Oak.
Katie Gallant, SHRM-CP
Director of Risk Management & Quality Improvement
Katie has been working in the mental health field since graduating from Appalachian State University where she studied Psychology and Addictions. Her passion is helping people learn and grow. She grew up in the foothills of North Carolina but has always been drawn to the mountains. After moving to Asheville for its proximity to the Blue Ridge Mountains, Katie discovered Red Oak Recovery® and joined the team in a direct care role at The Willows at Red Oak Recovery®.
Since then, she has had the pleasure of working alongside many departments and many amazing people. Katie has grown within the company and is committed to its purpose of helping clients honor themselves, unveil their self-worth, and pursue positive, lasting change. When not at work, Katie spends her time with her dog Gumby. They enjoy exploring the outdoors and sitting in the sunshine or by a fire with a good book (Gumby’s favorite book is “Old Yeller” but they only read the beginning).
